I am reading two books right now, Re-reading Jill Zarin's (round 3)and one about weddings,... naturally- I can not give up my obsession of all things wedding. I watch wedding dress television shows, I love seeing brides dressed up.. I just love a wedding.
Needless to say the underlying tone of this entry is that even though weddings represent love and happiness they sure leave deep wounds.
Here is an excerpt from Jill's book regarding weddings-
"we build our lives around major events that start with dreams from childhood. yet these same milestones are also minefields of misunderstandings, miscommunications and unmet expectations.....
no natter what, these affairs end of causing hurt feelings."
ugh that is so right, and so sad. What a bummer- you are bound to have your feelings hurt by a invitation snub, a gift snub, etc. etc. and you without even knowing will inflict this pain upon someone you care about within your lifetime as well.. ALL THIS OVER THE "HAPPIEST OCCASIONS IN LIFE. ay yay yi.
How can we individually work to overcome this? ..
