A PLACE TO SHARE MY DREAMS AND INSPIRE SOME OF YOUR OWN!

such good vibes.

I am obsessed with this little jaunt in Santa Monica. I normally find 3rd street promenade a little crowded with people who have driven great lengths to spend a day close to the beach, and I get annoyed... I would rather go somewhere less.. well you get the picture, I am just not eccentric and I don't like masses, unless at Disneyland.

SO anyways.. I do however think this place is SIMPLY TO DIE FOR. SO NY, I feel like you could sit here and think you are spending an afternoon meal on the streets of NY, or better yet... THIS IS REAL- ITS HOMAGE TO LA, we have culture, and bomb places, such as TEDDYS BEANERY...

AND THE FOOD IS EVEN GOOD! American!

Defamation to your wheels

LOOK- especially in LA, we spend a LARGE amount of valuable time in our cars... MUST YOU PLACE STICKERS AND ITEMS ON THEM?

I am a self proclaimed DISNEY FREAK. Okay, I own a season pass, I got engaged there, I stopped off at disneyworld for a few nights of my honeymoon... I went to disneyworld Paris on a weekend visit to Paris,.. I mean.. I AM ONE OF THOSE WEIRD DISNEY PEOPLE, I GET IT. BUT.. the buck stops here...
PLEASE DO NOT PLACE WEIRDO EARS ON YOUR CARS.. IT IS MAYBE EVEN WORSE THEN PIN TRADING.  That is all I have to say.

Well, I guess they do drive a golf? Maybe it's not fair of me to judge. But, still...
not my jam.

Keep the Dream ALIVE

An old friend/teammate of mine posted this on my facebook wall the other day,
and she wrote with it, this:
caught this is rome because it really hit home for me at that moment...and now i'm passing it to you because...i think you get it :) xxox

I feel like sometimes certain things just hit home. People who you haven't spoken to in years can make little gestures like this one- that just go BAM. It is those moments in life, where pieces come together.. and you go, there is a bigger picture here. Aside from the fact I had been being emotional, and harping on things such as lost and wasted dreams, this post got me thinking also about people, and our relationships. This girl, could not have been a nicer girl, a strong willed, religious, hard working girl. We may have clashed here and there, and never have been the best of friends.. but sometimes the most different from us, are the ones we may learn the most from. The key here is although I may not have always agreed, I always respected this particular persons fight. That may just be the key to success and to dreams... maybe to life. Respect. If you can live your life, and have or gain the respect of those that you come in contact with, well then- you win!

But thank you.. old mate, for reminding me, to always, KEEP THE DREAM ALIVE,
and do it..
WITH RESPECT.

back in the saddle.

Who in the world goes on EMOTIONAL HIATUS? get it together, dramatic much?

yes.

Yesterday one of my best friends from age 6 on and I were sitting in my Daddies office, complaining to him (naturally) about the status of our lives. She has her masters in child development and just started her own business.. MAZEL TO HER, so proud.. and I was telling him I listen to "I dreamed a dream" on repeat, and cry. BIG BRUCEY (DADDY) takes one look at us, and laughs. He looks at me and goes "yes Sabrina, I see how that song really hits home for you, your life is so hard living in a beautiful home in Beverly Hills with your attorney husband. You definitely can relate to the French Revolutionists starving for a piece of bread". HA. You have to laugh, right? This from a man who has a rumor going around Newport Beach that he is severely ill and dying, and when I asked him what the heck is going on he says "next time someone asks you, tell them to be VERY VERY nice to me, because it might just be true". A SENSE OF HUMOR I AM SURE YOU ARE PICKING UP ON.
Moral of my story- I think we all have really hard times, some harder then others, but struggle is struggle.. and when we are feeling down, no one can take that away from us.

I have had quite an eventful, emotions break-down week. I made it to many different social functions, probably looking like an absolute train-wreck.. but attempting to wear bright colors ALWAYS HELP. shallow? NO.. smart! You cannot help but feel an ounce perkier with a neon pink headband with a bow on your head!

I also have been avoiding blogging because, ALL I WANNA DO IS TALK SEX AND THE CITY 2. duh. and I refuse to ruin it for all you slackers out there.

Here are some quick glimpses to moments that perked me up over the last days :

memories of an old memorial day!! red, white, and blue!!

BLONDIE!! MY DEAR FRIENDS LITTLE LOVER!

HELLO KITTY BIRTHDAY BALLOONS, oh and Melissa. and Rainbow Chip frosting!

I have to use a celeb for my next little glimpse into my happy moments, because I feel to guilty posting the picture I took. I was at my other dear friends house (I made the rounds) ooh and may I throw this out there, I told her a little bit of my pathetic sob story and she told me to maybe take a XANAX hahahah that still makes me laugh, our world. and she has a HOTTIE NEIGHBOR.. THERE IS NOTHING BETTER THAN A HOT DAD.. concur? He was holding his 5 month old baby girl on his shoulders while playing with his little 3 yr. old boy on his bike.. I MEAN, SWOOON. I feel it may be a violation of human code to post the creepy picture I took on my blackberry.. so here is a hot dad for you in exchange,

HOMEMADE ARTS AND CRAFTS AND POPSICLES IN THE SUN!

oh ya, and watching my friend, and old teacher wash my car for me at the self car wash ranks pretty high as well.. NEVER TRY IT, complete and utter night-mere, but if you need a good laugh, and you don't mind wet leather.. then APROC' NE (why not, in CZECH)

I will be dreaming.. and not listening to I dreamed a dream.. there is something to be said for POSITIVE ENERGY, I BELIEVE IT. Oh and getting dressed up in the mornings, EFFORT IS ALWAYS KEY.

quick Mazel

she sure seemed thrilled to win Dancing with the Stars, one of the few shows that I don't watch.. but had to give in for EVAN LYSACEK!

Nicole... you sure are a pretty little piece of ALOHA!... even though I am quite confused how you are not considered a professional dancer when you have made a career being a PUSSYCAT DOLL.. isn't that what the Pussycat Dolls do?
BEATS ME...

DO I DARE START POSTING THE SHOES I HAVE FOUND AND LUSTED?!

NEED I POST MORE?

amen.

dreaming. always.

and so we meet again..

I mean that in so many ways. Doesn't that saying ring true to you?
Well,... for me, right now, it does. AND SO WE MEET AGAIN-......
DEAR YOU-
you are GLEE, my happy hour of my Tuesday night.
you are my day tomorrow, at Disneyland, my 3 story forever 21 stop, a best friends birthday dinner, and the Sex and the City 2 midnight showing... and Newport. All those things re-visited. oh and a whirlwind of emotions forcing me to burn CDs.. even w a dashboard number, who would ever think, that we would meet again?

step by step.
Disneyland, and so meet again Disneyland. We all have those places that are near and dear to our hearts... that we frequent for different reasons. Maybe we get pure bliss from going to the place, or maybe it isn't even somewhere we think is that great... but the memories we have made there sure make it seem great, maybe its a smell, a moment, a taste, a picture... whatever it is, we always want to revisit those special places- disneyland, represents so many things for me.
Birthday Dinner, we re-visit birthday dinners year after year, and if we are blessed enough to have close friends and family we try to celebrate their birthdays with them year after year as well.. as we hope they will do for ours. Birthdays are so silly. We have these high expectations, we are super sensitive, and most of the time... birthdays represent moments we are not going to get back, maybe I am just in a pessimistic mood? but to me.. Birthdays are great because they gather people together.. but otherwise, EVERYONE IN THE WORLD HAS ONE EVERY YEAR.. its not that novel.
Sex and the City movie, obviously we all have TV shows, movies, songs, that just for some reason or another have a warm spot in our hearts. Sex and the City is one for me, it really played a role in my life.. still does, sometimes I find myself rationalizing real life, or explaining something using SATC as a reference.
so many more things we re-visit in our lives. These are just a few thoughts for my tomorrow. Sometimes it is hard to revisit things of our past.. for we never wanted them to be in the past-... but I dream that we all can handle these visits, for they make us stronger.. wiser.. maybe more aware of our own selves.

This is sort of a boring/emo post.. I admit it. But, I am who I am.. and I simply never try to hide that... hence the pugs in hot dog buns surrounded by jelly bellys and poor grammar... MAZEL TO ME.. at least I own. it.

by the way, GLEE really was true bliss. I can just escape to another reality in that hour.. I think music does that to us... we need it. I was never an obsessed with music type of gal, I don't even bring my Ipod to the gym with me that often.. but.. in times of emotion or need, MUSIC ALWAYS HELPS. I hope you all grew up in a home with music... so important!

back to dashboard.. I will get thru it!

sweet dreams.
WHO KNOWS, I MAY EVEN GET SOME BIRTHDAY CAKE TOMORROW! THINGS ARE LOOKING UP!

By the way...

until we meet again.
and we will.

innocent pleasure

Just one of my lifelong obsessions, never gets old:

for my viewing pleasure..

I could not be more enthused in the last couple of weeks with the quality of viewing I have been blessed to feast my eyes on.

I mean... I have Evan Lysacek twirling in tuxedos, I have Ali the new re-incarnating Vienna in trampy extensions her low-back dress and her lovely sparkling backlace (aka- necklace worn down the back for no good reason, new stylist needed Chris Harrison, check) bachelorette, and Audriana coming to into the world with that PINK FLOWER the size of me on her head, I mean Housewives of NJ IS JUST TOO GOOD FOR WORDS, during Teresa getting her epidoral and her husband says what do you need, and she says "you know what I want" hinting towards sex.. I mean that could not be written.

so here is a short note to Bravo... the network

Dear Bravo.
attn: Andy Cohen,
I think you have struck a cord with American women ages 15-infinity. We cannot help but get hooked to almost all of your programming. I beg of you to never loose the charm and the gems you have found. Keep it right where it is, just nutty enough, but not at the stage where Kelly would need to hold crystals. I love a good crazy moment, but not when it is at the stage of institutionalization. HENCE, please make sure Danielle doesn't take it even an itsy bitsy ounce farther, then I will not be able to watch it on repeat anymore. I just wanted to wish you the BIGGEST MAZEL, because Andy Cohen you are the messiah, next to Gloria of course.
Much Gratitude for filling my nights with laughter and competing in golden gem producing of shows with Ryan Seacrest,
Sabrina

DON'T BE TARDY FOR THE PARDY!!!

WOOOHOOOOO TOMORROW NIGHT I WILL FEAST MY EYES ON 2+ HOURS OF SEX AND THE CITY HEAVEN!!!! I could watch it on silent and still think it is spectacular!!

weirdest craving ever!

I am just dying for some brussel sprouts. I know, I know.. weird.. but I CAN'T HELP IT! YUMMY!

I just wanna talk.

Humans crave Human contact. period.
We need the stimulation of communicating. Being locked up at a computer everyday all day is simply not natural.
I want to see you in person, and know that you are OK, and even more so, pretend to think that it may just be important to you, to know that I am OK.
Some of the best moments in life are those simple moments with friends,
laying by the pool, on a walk, having a meal, trying on clothes, at a game, at a party, on the phone, in the car, at a concert, birthdays, and bachelorettes:

I dream of reconnecting with old friends, making new friends, and vowing to cherish the moments that I am with friends.

COLORFUL!

My friend who has the BEST eye had these on the other day! COLORFUL, SUMMERY, CHIC, AND REASONABLE! BAM!
here is the link- 28$!!! (urban outfitters)

COUNTDOWN IS OFFICIAL!

 3 DAYS!!!!!!

Officially began my marathon- aka- watching EVERY EPISODE, AND FINISHING TUESDAY NIGHT OR WEDNESDAY WITH THE FIRST MOVIE!!!

Sex and the City week, I shall call it!

okay so: lets catch up on a few priceless moments:

"there is more to being a jew then jewelry"  -Charlotte.... that line always makes me laugh
and I always cry when she miscarries and is supposed to be at Mirandas baby shower and she decided to gain strength from Audrey Hepburn and throws on that pink dress and huge black sunglasses, stunning.. timeless.. and empowering.  (sidenote: the time is not right for babies for us right now, afterall I AM STILL A BABY.. but I think of that often, miscarriages, the inability to even get pregnant for some women... here we are spending our youth doing anything and everything to NOT get pregnant, what if one day when we decide the time is right, and we want to be blessed with a child, what if we aren't blessed with the ability too? AH, my heart breaks for those that go thru such a hardship, pa pa pa.) such a strong story line for charlotte: but WE GET LILY AND ROSE!!

AH! I just love that scene with Lily and the Judith Leiber cupcake... made especially for her, TO DIE FOR. yes, I looked into it, it was made SPECIAL FOR THE PHONE TO FIT IN IT, JUST FOR THE MOVIE. ah.

Okay so outfits?
here is a picture from my ALL TIME FAVORITE: RIGHT WHEN THEY ARE PUTTING IN MOON RIVER.. "when you're tired you take a napa you don't move to Napa"

how about when she dresses as the Candy Striper at the Four Season's

here are some more of my favorite scenes:

DEEP BREATH HERE IS A CROWD FAVORITE,
Carrie shows up late outside the Plaza at BIGS engagement party to Natasha.. and she tells him "your girl is lovely Huble..." and he says "I don't get it" and she says "and you never did"..
"the parties over"..."Well I'll say it is.. AAHH CLASSIC

Memories.. from the corner of my mind,..

I could go on all night, day, till death do us part,

but for now, I think that was a good taste of my excitement for the MOVIE!!

oh and here is just one of my FAVORITE clips from the first movie-

You may think it is weird and maybe even pathetic how truly excited I am for this movie, and maybe even about Sex and the City in general- but I think it is healthy to be passionate about things, I love the series, think the writing was brilliant at moments, tackled issues we all have dealt with and are bound to deal with, and heck, THEY LOOK GOOD WHILE DOING IT, its eye candy, and even a tribute to our greatest city in this wondrous country, the BIG APPLE, Carries one true love!

I will dream of being at the premiere tomorrow.. where I am sure there will be a JILL ZARIN SPOTTING! all my favorite things, in one location! L'CHAIM!

YUMMY HINT

Another Gem from TJ's aka Trader Joes

I was laying in my friends new house, which is unbelievable.
Water view, most comfortable couch ever,
the best vignettes in her front room armoire, the list goes on and on..
moral of the story,
we were snacking on the BEST TRADER JOE'S FIND...

DARK CHOCOLATE COVERED POWER-BERRIES!!

AS SHE SAID

"ITS LIKE A PARTY IN THE BAG"

amen sister!!

Baggage

As we begin to grow a little bit older, into our twenties, thirties, etc. etc. etc... I start to understand the term "baggage".
We all start to have it, like it or not, experiences become the past, learned lessons, and we carry those with us... some see them as learning lessons, others, as BAGGAGE.

Moral of my story- this weekend was wonderful, went to Newport, saw a lot of friends, and experienced a lot of emotions, or thoughts. I started to notice all these friendships of our pasts, present, and futures are all so intertwined with baggage.

ALL I KNOW IS- I WANT MY BAGGAGE TO LOOK LIKE THIS-

I will keep dreaming.. one day I will own these!

Early Retirement

My husband and I have been joking all day that we are made for the life of retirement.

Our day in the desert:
          wake up at ten...
                     read our books....
go to lunch in the golf-cart at the country club (WHERE THEY HAVE THE BEST ICE CREAM EVER STILL... CAPPUCCINO CRUNCH! CANNOT FIND IT ANYWHERE ELSE!)

take a swim, lay out, read
come inside, read, lay, social media, news,
go play 5 holes of golf in the early evening

                                                                    made brownies
                                                                    laker game, blog
dinner. american idol. etc. etc. ....
maybe we will go get some frozen yogurt (PINK LEMONADE FLAVOR IS THE BEST HERE!!!)

I mean, you may get bored, but we are in heaven! When we get bored, we will do charity!! ;)

BACK TO LA AND REALITY TOMORROW...

KEEP DREAMING!

"DREAM ON"

SO... it has taken me hours and day to stand on my two feet as a normal human being after my television overload MONDAY AND TUESDAY.
Monday I was simply in complete and utter shock after Gossip Girl, I could barely handle myself at the mere thoughts of Chuck Bass laying dead on the cobblestone streets of my beloved city Prague or maybe I was simply so upset that those communists (don't get offended at my political slander here- I can say it, I lived there for 5 months.. its a joke people ::kinda::) stole a Harry Winston cushion cut that looked to be at least 3 carats that should have been on my favorite upper east side princess's left hand. UGH.

ONTO GLEE-
OH MY GLEE!!! I could not, not blog about an episode based on DREAMS.. when this is a blog titled DREAMS. Dreams are in the air.. with the care bears and then some!
Idina Menzel and Lea Michele had me in full blown, heart wrenching tears while they sang 'I dreamed a dream'.. look I am not even a Les Mis fan, yes I said it LES MISERABLES is one of my LEAST favorite musicals, really it is, and one of my ALL TIME FAVORITES IS CHORUS LINE, stop judging my taste in theatre, if you weren't such an "intellectual snob" you would be right on the same page with me! GUARANTEED! moral of the story, it gave me the chills, and I JUST THINK IT COULDN'T HAVE BEEN MORE PERFECT!
HATS OFF, GLEE IS BACK! the charm, the wit, the emotion,.... BAM!

and the message is right- THANK YOU MR SCHUE (PS- why is a man with a jerry curl so damn hot? honestly he REALLY does it for me... the way he moves, his voice, the whole package.. who would ever guess) DREAMS ARE IMPORTANT... ALWAYS.

SO DREAM ON,....

TARGET is right on target.

RUN TO TARGET AND GET THESE SHOES.

I bought every pair offered, and if you are smart, you would too!

24.99... UNREAL!!!

MISS TRISH, I SALUTE YOU!

full house=life lessons

I am watching the nicest episode of Full House. What happened to TV like this?

Uncle Jesse is teaching Stephanie it never feels good to make fun of people, at their expense. She in turn apologizes to Walter aka: DUCK FACE

and then she after twenty minutes of Uncle joey's jokes, sticks up for him in-front of all her friends, teaches them the lesson to not make fun of others, makes me cry, and then invites him into their group..
truly, it was touching.
and if that wont pull you in... MICHELLE WILL,
those dang Olsen twins are striking now, and the cutest things I HAVE EVER SEEN when they were little, it is unbelievable.

"You're in trouble MR.!"

9/11

WOW.

I was looking at this piece of art, and I was looking at the Twin Towers,
...
HAS IT REALLY BEEN 9 YEARS?
scary.
thought provoking.
sometimes when I am watching old movies, aka- sleepless in seattle, an affair to remember, or even the first season's of Sex and the City and the towers are always in the background scenes..eerie.
Will we ever fly without remembering that day? Maybe we should think about it more then just when we are boarding a flight. Just a thought..

Happy Monday Morning

Manic Monday.
Good morning, grab the blackberry... scroll the emails
oooh,
the usual
"Dear Sabrina,
It was so nice meeting you but we have decided to go in a different direction.......
we will keep you in mind for further opportunities.....
...."

I am used to those by now-
I am starting to get less and less "shocked" every-time, which may be a bad thing, because we need to keep confidence in the fact that we ARE IT, we deserve it, etc.. and if I loose that, then maybe there is a reason NO ONE WANTS ME! ha.

The real reason I am sharing this particular, sorry you are still unemployed e-mail, is because.. this particular opportunity, came from within, a friend who had the job, left the job, and put my name up for the job.
I just wanted to share this story of inspiration and motivation.. or just kindness.
I saw a girl I hadn't seen in YEARS (had always adored though) at a holiday party, simply exchanged the usual words, short fun conversation- what are you doing- where are you living- etc. my answers were:
getting married in a week, moving to Beverly Hills, and job hunting... with a quick honeymoon in-between!
LET ME CUT TO THE CHASE...
MONTHS LATER, I received a facebook message... she was leaving her job in Beverly Hills, did I still need one.. was the basic gist. CAN I EVEN BEGIN TO EXPRESS HOW KIND I THOUGHT THAT WAS? Lets be honest.. we are all struggling a little, even if we have the job, it may not be the dream job, it may not be paying for our expensive luxury taste, or even just our apartments.. I THOUGHT, HOW NICE IS SHE, TO 1)REMEMBER MONTHS LATER OR 2)FOLLOW THRU AND ACTUALLY CONTACT ME AND OFFER TO HELP... that is the lesson,
A OLD FRIEND WHO IS ACTUALLY TRYING TO HELP OTHERS... that is so great, we should all take notes, and remember... we can do as much as we can to help those around us, and it doesn't go unnoticed, and hopefully... in the future by helping, your karma is only going to be terrific, and it will pay off!
see my message, by helping others, you are going to end up helping yourself- so stop taking the selfish route, help others, because in the end, it still will be selfish ;) and help you!

REALLY, EVEN THOUGH I DIDN'T GET THE JOB, I STILL GOT A GLIMPSE OF HOW NICE AND KIND PEOPLE CAN BE... AND THAT IS WORTH MORE!

HOME=FOOD?

Often times when we are away from our "homes" we miss the food of our everyday adventures. When away at college, or living abroad, or just simply starting life in a different city.. we often yearn for the restaurants and favorite bites of our old neighborHOODS,....

for some reason I just got a huge craving for a CEST SI BON sandwich on a baguette with brie or salami...

I cannot believe it is MID-MAY ALREADY!!

memorial day is just around the corner..

and I am addicted to all these blooming roses and flowers.. thank goodnesss for APRIL SHOWERS, BECAUSE HELLLOOOOO MAY FLOWERS!!
