Things I am obsessed with in the Desert..

So we are in the desert right now, I love my parents home here, and as I have grown older, I have grown more appreciative of all things desert..

here are a few desert obsessions:


sleeping in.
wearing "resort wear"
lunch at the clubhouse
getting tan

all things el paseo. trio (. saks. (even The Daily Grill tastes better on El Paseo)
antique shopping
murphs pan fried chicken
the casinos!
movie theatre at the River
Sullivans Steak House
putting!
La Quinta
Big Mommas
HomeGoods is a goldmine here!

Our pink golfcart ranks pretty high on my list..
thanksgiving in the desert too!

reading a book by the pool is also not such a bad desert activity- or how about my Mom's pink putters? or bowling outings? GOOD OLD FUN..

oh and the Greek Festival at the Greek Church is a riot.. I found Harpo the clown at the Greek festival who was always the clown at KOBE, another little restaurant obsession of the desert..
